# Saved searches and email alerts

> Save a set of filters and get a daily or weekly email when new listings match.

## Save a search

1. Log in, then [browse listings](https://dealslide.com/buy) and set at least one filter. Sort order doesn't count as a filter and isn't saved.
1. Click **Save Search**. On smaller screens, tap the bookmark button, then **Save current search**. If the button shows a search's name, those filters are already saved.
1. Name it and choose how often to hear from us: **Daily** (the default), **Weekly**, or **Off**. Each search needs its own name.

Every new account starts with a saved search called **Default - All Listings** that emails you a weekly count of new listings. You can change or delete it at **Saved Searches**.

## When alerts arrive

- **Daily** alerts go out around 9 AM Eastern (8 AM from November to mid-March).
- **Weekly** alerts go out Tuesday at the same time.

You only get an email when there's something new to report.

Each alert lists the saved searches that have new matches, with a count for each. A new match is a listing that fits the search and was added to DealSlide in the past day (daily) or week (weekly). Click a search to see its listings, sorted newest first. The page shows all its matches, not only the new ones.

A listing that changes to fit your filters later, such as a price drop into your range, doesn't count as new. To hear when a specific listing changes, add it to your [watchlist](https://dealslide.com/docs/watchlist).

Each email covers all your saved searches and watchlist alerts on that schedule, so daily and weekly alerts arrive in separate emails. They come from notifications@email.dealslide.com. Add it to your contacts to help keep them out of spam.

## Edit or stop alerts

Go to [Saved Searches](https://dealslide.com/saved-searches). There you can:

- Rename or delete a search
- Switch between daily and weekly
- Turn alerts off

If you saved a search with alerts **Off**, turning them on later starts weekly emails.

You can't edit a saved search's filters. Open the search with its **View X listings** link, adjust the filters, and save them under a new name. Then delete the old search so you don't get alerts for both.

## Paused searches

The **Status** filter is Pro-only. If your Pro plan ends, saved searches that use it for anything besides Live pause, and their **Email Notifications** switch shows off. They resume after you upgrade again. Then check that the switch is on at **Saved Searches**.
