# Reset your password

> Get a reset link by email if you forgot your password.

## Forgot your password

1. On the login page, click **Forgot your password?**, or go to the [password reset page](https://dealslide.com/forgot-password). This page only works when you're logged out. If you're logged in, use Settings (below).
1. Enter your email and click **Send Reset Instructions**.
1. Open the link in the email within 1 hour. Only the newest link works, and each link works once.
1. Choose a new password with at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number. It must differ from your current password.

After the reset, you're logged out on every device and sent to the login page.

If the link has expired or was already used, request a new link.

No email? Search your inbox and spam for "Reset your DealSlide password". We send nothing if no account uses that address, if you never verified your email, or if you signed up with Google. The form shows the same confirmation either way. If you request too many links in a short time, you'll see a "Too many attempts" message. Wait an hour and try again.

## Reset it from Settings

Go to [Settings](https://dealslide.com/settings) and click **Reset Password** in the **Security** card. We'll email you a reset link. Follow steps 3 and 4 above.

## Signed up with Google?

Your account doesn't have a password, so you can't reset one. Keep using **Log in with Google**.
